Due to the increasingly strict environmental protection requirements for decoration work, on-site edge banding and painting are not allowed. Therefore, UV wood veneer is generally used for on-site processes such as cabinet door edge banding. However, UV wood veneer is generally thick and the UV surface must not be damaged during ironing. Therefore, the following points should be noted when laminating!
1. Select the fast-drying adhesive GW-6565
Maintain the substrate. The surface of the wood veneer is clean and tidy (the wood veneer does not need to be wet)
Second, the adhesive is thin and light
Apply adhesive to both sides of the wood veneer and base material. Under the condition of ensuring even adhesive distribution, the thinner the better.
Iii. Semi-dry lamination
Wait until the wood veneer and the base material adhesive are half dry before bonding. This way, it will be more efficient!
(You can touch the rubber surface with your finger. It should be sticky but not sticky.)
Four. Interlayer heating
To avoid damaging the painted surface of the wood veneer, the iron temperature should not be set too high when ironing. 160° C is the best! It is best to avoid direct contact between the iron and the UV surface. Instead, use a smoothed wood veneer or paper for layer-by-layer heating. This way, the veneer pasted will be both flat and free of bubbles.
