How to avoid cracking or bubbling when attaching wood veneer to the handleless groove?

When it comes to hand-sticking handle-free grooves, every furniture factory worker must be extremely troubled!

The operation takes a long time and requires meticulousness. What's most worrying is that the pasted wood veneer may crack or bubble. So, how can this situation be avoided?

Here are some little tips from Fushen for everyone! I hope every veneer installer can make use of it.

Glue selection

The selection of glue is the most easily overlooked issue. I always thought that any kind of glue could be used for sticking, but in fact, if the glue is not suitable, no matter how skilled the master is, the probability of problems occurring later is very high.

Here we recommend a special wood veneer adhesive from Fushen GW-6566A. It features good initial adhesion, strong repairability, firm bonding and no bubbling when painted. For hand-sticking grooves without handles, it is recommended that the master choose this glue product.

Tips for removing the handle groove

It is recommended to use wood veneer of 30 microns or less, or non-woven fabric wood veneer! When choosing wood veneer, it is best to ensure it is intact. Do not use wood veneer that has already cracked for bonding.

It is recommended to apply glue on both sides. Both the base material and the wood veneer need to be glued! First, apply glue to the wood veneer using GW-6566A and wait for the glue on the wood veneer to dry completely. This is the key point.

When applying adhesive to the base material, wait until the adhesive on the base material is in a semi-dry state. When touched by hand, it should feel sticky but not sticky. This is the key point.

Fit the positioning! Make sure the wood veneer is fully attached to the interior of the handleless groove. It is recommended to use sandpaper and light sand for bonding to ensure complete positioning, especially at the corners.

Iron it with an iron! Here we suggest that the temperature of the iron should not exceed 160 degrees, and it is fine to keep it between 120 and 160 degrees. Here we recommend using Fushen's special-shaped iron GW-1211!

Use an iron to ensure that each position is properly ironed. Finally, check for any bubbles or cracks. Under normal operation, pay special attention to the corner position of the groove. Ensuring a proper fit is the key.

The above is the guidance method for manually pasting wood veneer without handle grooves, without cracking or bubbling!
